how many fishing poles you allowed to use in nc and how many hooks per pole i know some states have restrictions

No restrictions as far as I know. I usually take 4 poles if I'm by myself, 2-3 if someone else is with me. We use one hook per pole the way we rig up. Some people use premade leaders like you would use in the ocean with 2 hooks on them.

I usually use 6 rods with single hooks on each one, I guess if I used a really large bait I would put a singer hook in the bait just behind the dorsal fin.

sorry guess I forgot the T , Its a gamakatsu 8/0 octopus hook so I imagine it can sing pretty loud, or is that the catfish screaming when it sinks in, not too sure on that one.

I really dont think there are in regs on number of fishing poles.Just the other day a couple of buddies of mine and me had about 15 poles in the water had a whole section of the river covered up.So i would say carry as many as you want to and good luck brother.

No law in NC governing the number of rods you can use.

I asked a Game Warden once and he said "as many as you can handle".
I usually take 14 with me on the boat but only use 8 maybe 10 at the most. It can get a little heckit (spelling?) when you get a good fish on but it is worth it.

I usually use about 8-15 poles, when you use huge bait it helps improve your odds to have more poles. Esspecialy considering I'm on the bank just for right now due to boat problems. But boy sometimes they hit so good I have to go down to 2 poles, ever try reeling in two big blues at the same time ? :eek:
