Humming Bird Fishfinder 525

I just went to Cabelas today and bought a Humming Bird Fishfinder 525. Has anyone ever had one and what do you think of it?


I also was wondering where you are suppose to put the sensor(for the fish finder) on a 14 foot flatbottom.

I have the 535 portable and I love it. The transducer goes on the right lower rear of the transom looking from the back of the boat.

Transducers are usually installed on the right side of the motor on any boat. Getting one to read on a fast moving aluminum boat has always been part luck and part science so good luck. Be sure and read the installation guide that came with your FishFinder 525 as it gives good general guidelines for doing this.

i bought my first fishfinder, this spring. i love it. it's a smaller unit( sx100 humminbird) makes a fishermans job easyer. good luck.
