Maskatatuck River

Anyone ever fish the river between Crothersville and Austin. I have not fished it in years but used to set bush hooks and trotlines and catch some pretty good cats. Been wanting to try it again. It's been about 15 years since I have fished there.

Greetings. I have not fished that part of the river in 35 years. It would have to be alot cleaner now, I usually fish for smallmouth on this river from Crosley game area. Let us know how you do.

I used to fish right downstream from the Highway 31 bridge. There is an old rock dam that is shallow at the end but goes into kind of a funnel and it has deeper water there (Or at least it used to) Pulled out some good size fish from there. No giants but you were almost guaranteed to catch something. Have not fished it in years but getting the urge.
