Welcome to the group Mark. We have a very active group over in the NW corner of the state. We're going to be having a catfish tournament on May 27th if you'd like to fish in it. To hear all of us talk, the only finish still available is 2nd place because each of us is going to win the thing. If you're interested, the details are under the tournament thread or you can just ask on the Red River thread about it.

Glad to have you aboard Mark! Way to go on the new toon also!

I am a "Rebel" from when they couldn't buy a win if that tells you anything. :embarassed: Where do you fish over there? I used to spend alot of time out at the Bawconville Yacht Club :waaaht: and we caught alot of fish.

Dive right in and don't be afraid to speak up. I promise most of us don't bite!

Mark, I went fishing with a buddy here in Arkansas, he has a Lowrance 107c on his boat. This is a color unit. I really liked that unit. The 107 will be a good one for your pontoon but the X135 would be even better if you can afford the 135 unit.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE WELCOME AND THE GOOD ADVISE. I GUESS IT IS ABOUT TIME TO CONFESS THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN FISHING MUCH IN THE LAST 6 TO 7 YEARS. I OWN A PAINTING AND DRYWALL CO, THAT HAS EXPANDED SO FAST IT TAKES UP MOST OF MY TIME (not complaining about the work I THANK GOD for it) BUT I WAS AN AVID BASS FISHERMAN AND OCCASSIONAL TIGHTLINER FROM THE BANK. HEY CATSMITH1 I DON'T HAVE MUCH INFO YET ON GOOD SPOTS BUT I USED TO FISH AT THE ROCKPILE WEIR ON BAYOU LAFOURCHE AND GUMBY DAM. I STILL HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN BUT ME AND TOPSGT ARE GOING TO TRY TO FISH EVERY TIME HE COMES HERE AND I AM GOING TO LOSE MY CELLPHONE:big_smile: AND SLIP OFF TO ARKANSAS.

Me And My Boys Ages 10,9 And6 Went Fishing Today In A Pond Close To Our House. It Was A Most Enjoyable Time For Us All. We Caught 13 Channels Weighing From 3 To 6 Lbs. I Spent Alot Of Time Taking Fish Off Of Hooks And Untangling Lines But To See Their Faces Was Worth The Effort. I Think It Was A Day They Will Always Remember.
