Skipjack question

i live just south of jackson ms.would some of you guys please tell me of a good spillway somewhere to go catch some and what time of the year to do it?thanks.

Probly, just take a small to medium rod with 3-5 jigs ties on it and cast away. I think they've been runnin up to 4 generators lately. I gotta make a trip soon too.

You should be able to catch them now. I caught about 45 yesterday. Not sure what to tell you about where in JX.

As long as the Tennessee River isn't flooding, this time of the year is usually a great time to make a trip to Pickwick to stock up. Last spring we brought back about 300# of skippies...enough to fill a 7 cubic foot chest freezer plumb jammed full.
