It is south of Quakertown,Pa From the Maryland border on 83 I can make the trip in my tractor trailer to the area around Nockamixon in around 2.5 hrs tops at night. Now with construction starting a little bit more.I run 83 to 81 to 78.I am not sure where you are in Maryland. But,this should give you an idea of the time! ;)

as for me as far as i can tell the more people we have at this one the better lies we can come up with...lol i will find out the exact address for the lake that way you would be able to go on map quest and find your way
just a point of info for all---lake nockamixon has a 20 hp max for any that wish to bring boats
there also some campgrounds close by if anybody decides to come from a distance
i went fishing for cats tonight out on the lake and they were hitting pretty scarce. had one on about 26 inches or so but lost him abuot 10 feet from the boat.

I've only fished nockamixon once but I'd be willing to take a road trip with another member up there. Just post the date and time and we'll work our schedules around it.

I think we should get some idea of a head count first so we know how much food stuff we need. If you want maybe a few of us could get together and get things organized as far as where at the lake we would like to be and things of that nature. Also I go to the allentown farmers market every friday and would be willing to pick up some provisions. "Pacathunter" if you would like my help with any of this just let me know. Fortunately for me I'm a stay at home dad so my son and I have alot of free time.

ok everyone i say that we set this thing in stone and make it for may 13th.
now i have been down to the nock and really looked around and i think we might be in a good area for this if we use the haycock boat launch site--it has alot of tables and is right on the water and this area has been known to bring some good size cats.
i would also say that we might be better off doing this cookout later in the after noon say around 3 or so this way by the time we are all done bsing and eating we will be coming into a good time in the evening to do some fishin.
let me know what yall think

I was gonna ask how it was, but after reading kaleigh's last response I guess I don't need to. I was in Lancaster with my wife's family at a fund raiser for the Lancaster Heart and Stroke Association. We had some real nasty storms out there saturday evening. Luckily it was in doors. It sounds like the weather is supposed to be crappy all week, but I think I am gonna try and get out a little saturday since my wife works in the afternoon.

i had let someone know I couldnt go since i had to go to my grandmothers 81st bday party. Shes such a ham. and with the weather as it was assumed it was going to be post poned. I wouldnt mind if it were rescheduled since it was rained out. prior to the bbq i did get to go fishing with tom and rick. their a bunch of good guys. I also learned aged livers work better then fresh the hard way. Ohhh and treble hooks and weeds dont get along well. lol
