Sardis Lake in Mississippi

Hey heading to do some crappie fishing the 11th but want to try to get in some cats as well. Any One fish Sardis for whiskers?

Never fished the main lake for cats. i fish the spillway and never done much good but my cousin did catch a real nice flathead last fall.

We fished it a few dozen times when we lived in MS and had good luck there,, also liked Arklabutler aswell

For catfish fish the Tallahatchie river, that is the river that fills Sardis and this time of year they hold the water back and there is some fantastic crappie fishing in the river also. You won't be able to tell it is a river because of the high water, so be careful of all the stumps and trees under the water.

We fished the lower lake at Sardis last week. The wind would blow us from the private side to the park side fast. We ended the day with 8 nice keepers, a 4 hour trip. Some fellows in an IN boat were doing about the same as we.

Fished the lower lake yesterday, 5/20/06. Wind was blowing us about. Ended a 6 hour trip with 4 throw backs.
