Turkey hunting the Wakarusa kansas

does anyone currently or in the past hunt/hunted the wakarusa for turkey, because i think my dad and i are gonna head on down there tomorrow(friday) to see if we cant get me a first for the season!!! but it would be nice if you could give me some spots maybe or just some tips on how to hunt them down there. thanks a bunch

I've taken a couple of birds off the ridge to the south of the back ramp, but the Wakarusa isn't my primary area of hunting on Clinton. If it was me, I'd put the boat on the Wakarusa and try to roost a bird. Of course you can do that all the way around the lake, not counting the park area's and bowhunting only. Going in cold is going to be tough, spend a day scouting then make a good setup Saturday morning.
