Cedar River in Iowa

I noticed the Cedar is way up. I wonder if this will help trigger the cats.

A guy at work said he went over by CR yesterday. River was high, lots of debris coming downstream, and fishing was slow.

I just came from Palo and the Cedar is out of its bank now. Its been awhile since I've seen it this high. Its way too fast to fish on. It'll be a while now.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Only problem is my little jon boat is in down in southern Iowa right now so I can fish the farm ponds with it. May have to head that way and bring her home.

We used to have a blast this time of year at an overflow bridge on Blue Creek over by Cedar Falls/Urbana area. It's been a long time, so I can't remember its exact location, but I know a few flatheads used to come up with them too, along with some really nice smallmouth bass.
