Clinton area missouri help

We usually fish smithville, or the mo river, but thought this summer we might try the lake down around clinton. Could you all help me out with some places to start looking for spots. We are bank fishers. Thanks,

There are actually a few good places to bank fish in the Clinton area. Best way to explore them is to buy a topo map of Truman and look at the water depth features near access points such as bridges, old roads that end in the lake now, etc. A lot of folks fish around the Sparrowfoot Recreation Area just south of Clinton. There are several places there. Get that map, and explore. Good luck!

Fishing below Truman dam is hard to beat if your looking for bank fishing areas.
