Does anybody have a dependable repair shop for a 1979 100 hp Johnson motor In the KC AREA. I would even cosider a old timer that does it in their spare time. I don't know if it even needs much help. The problem is in the shifting rod. Going in forward everything works fine. In reverse it would shift into reverse the other night. In the past it would still shift but the rpm would be high to get it shifted. I have adjusted the linkage all the way and it does not help. If I push the arm 1/16 of a inch it locks in reverse and works o.k. I have plans to go to Truman over labor day weekend and need to do something in the next week or 2. By the way does anybody have a cabin or spot down there that they want to rent that weekend?
