havnt caught a catfish this year yet, actually have caught hardly any fish. Could use some help, im new to catfishing and not sure if im doin something wrong. went to bell slough today and didnt catch anything while a guy 30 feet away was pulling catfish and crappie every 20 minutes. he used minnows. I used minnows, worms and chicken liver, tryed to catch bass with some plugs but nothin.

is it cause im not fishing from a boat maybe? do catfish primarily feed at night, any good links on how they feed and mostly what on? anything would help

David do not give up! I do not always catch fish when I go out. That is why they call it fishing instead of catching. Be friendly, go over to the guy that was catching the cat and ask him how was he rigged. Just a little difference in water depth can make a difference.
