Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report 8/15/09

Buddies went to the lake about noon 8/15/09 and put out 14 or so jugs and caught 12 Blues with two of them over 20#. All were caught on the north end of the lake by the big island in the open water about 10 ft with fresh big gizzard shad.

have you tried rod and reel for those blues. also are the hybrids biting?

When we go, we throw the jugs out then fish with rods for about a hour then check the jugs. The fish that is on my avatar I caught with rod and reel on Cedar Creek Lake earlier this summer.

we caught some smaller blues on slab spoons in may near crappie island while fishing for whites. they were on the humps in about 25 foot of water. i have not been back since then. we are gonna try to go after the hybrids in a week or two. i think the upper end of the lake where you are fishing is ok until it cools off. when it is colder i think the big blues are in deep water.
