Well i had planned on goin out with Dink today on his boat. But when i finally got a hold of him he already had been fishing with Mellon and got skunked. SO my dad and I decided to hit the Stillwater at a good location for crappie and bass. Which was a topic for flathead in a post i made last month. Well i tossed the castnet to get some suckers cuz i was putting my baitrunner out. After we caught about 10 crappie the first 5 minutes. I walked over to my pole and it started running. I had a sucker head out on bottom. I set hook and fought the fish, i always had good luck with channels here but wasnt expecting this. I landed a 2.5 pound flathead. I was stoked, i had finally got my first flat of the year. Unfortunately we didnt have the camera with us :mad: . I plan on hitting the spot again this coming week.
