Does anyone know how high/low the water level is right now on the Cape Fear. At Lock 2 I know the ramp is kinda short so if the water is low I will not carry my pontoon cuz reloading it may be impossible. I wish they would take our taxes and make the @#$% thing longer!!

the ramp is not really short . when they pushed it in the water pressure cracked it. the water is not really low but is low. if when you back down the ramp you go to the left side when you back down you will be fine. call me and i fill you in on everything. hope this helps some.

I saw several pontoons yesterday and saw one load with no problem.

Coming from Jordan Lake yesterday afternoon the water at Aventt's Ferry on Nc 42 looked up. Jordan was up some from last week so they ( Corps of Engineers) must have been releasing more water than usual. Seemed to be up somewhat at Lillington. Had right much rain above here ( Lillington ) this week.
