Sunday morning a good friend of mine and his dad went fishing on the missouri between Fort Calhoun and Blair NE. Fishing was no good at the first dike so we moved onto some back water on the IA side of the river and as we were pulling in my buddy was on the bow with a shotgun waiting for one of these to jump... I was in the middle and his dad was in the back driving our 14' flatbottom jon boat. The water was real calm when I felt water on my arm and something slimy run across my shoulder so I turn back and I saw the carp that had to be at least 2ft long as it almost went head on (literally) with my buddies dad.
We didnt catch it in the boat but I figured I'd share the tale

I'm pretty sure in this day and age everything is illegal :sad2:
This was just when we were pulling into the spot, probably going 3mph or less.

you think about everything is illegal??
you got a guy in a boat shooting fish with a shot gun?
for some reason i dont think the boat moving was your most illegal maneuver..

Trim up the motor almost all the way out of the water hit up the high idle rev it up high and duck. Make shure your doing this behind a trail dike and the tojo's will be jumping. Seen it done alot
