Mineral mix

Heres a recipie for homeade mineral mix for deer. Dont know if its been posted or not. Hope this is usefull to someone. I made some up this spring and it is showing great results. I bought 50 lb. stock salt, 100lb. trace mineral, 50lb di cal. It ran me about 40 bucks I think. I used a coffee can for measuring. 1 can salt, 2 trace mineral, 1 di cal. Good luck n good huntin




1 part salt
2 parts trace mineral (unmedicated)
1 part di calcium phosphate

Thanks, Aaron. We may have to give that a try. The di-cal & the trace minerals; do you get that at a feed store?

I am new to this, so once it is mixed do you spread it on the ground, a log, how do you apply it. If it works it sounds cheap and I would like to give it a try.

Got it all at MFA. I just dug somewhat of a hole just enough that water will hold in it. pour into hole 1 thing at a time the soak it with water. It will take 3 buckets 1 for salt, trace mineral, dical.
