Great to see you have a fishing buddy you can train. It is good to do it that way cause you might wind up like some of the guys on the BOC and have one that does mean tricks on you while you are sick, LOL!!!

Johnny have you ever fished Lake Montecello think its out in coleman. not sure how close it is to paris but its out east. its a power plant lake not very big but very good channel cat fishing and is known for its flatheads.

I've been a member here for less than a month, and I think that statement sums it up really well.:)

At the suggestion of another member I checked out another site for my geographic area that covers multiple species. I posted 3 times to see what the responses were and 2 of them were negative or severely sarcastic.:sad: I guess those are the same "individuals" who make fires on private land and leave all their trash behind.:mad:

Johnny welcome to the BOC, I've got a good friend that lives in Honey Grove he fishes the city lake there and does really good. I've been on Davy Crocket(national forest) with him a time or two and we got our limits every time out there.
Lake Cooper ain't far from ya either, it's got some good fish in it but I see that lake didn't get much rain and is way down right now. Over 7' down I think.
Go to Texas Parks and Wildlife web site and click on fishing reports. A map will pop up and click your part of the state. Ya will find every lake there is near ya and a fishin' report if availiable.
Lake Fork and my favorite Lake Tawakoni ain't to far away from ya either.
