he sold his Harley to get it. he aint rode in years so he just goes to work & comes home. only other thing he does is go to grand kids ball games. with this new boat i hope he will get out more and enjoy himself more.

lifetime guarentee on the hull, transom & deck too. i beat 2 salesman up with questions and arguments, 1 in J.C., the other at Cabelas. Cabelas gave a lower price plus $300 in store credit back.

its the Lowe Stinger 175 which if im not mistaken its 17.5 ft. long. he had a 50 horse put on cuz he says, " if there is fish where we're headed then they'll still be there when we get there no matter how long it takes." :smile2: plus we wont be flyin on the Kaw anyway.

maiden voyage was today at Banner. all went well except when i was in "controll" :confused2: of the trollin motor and had Tom & his son movin lines and pullin up anchors  cux i didnt keep us out of em. :ooooh::embarassed: needless to say i turned it over to Lucky cuz i dont drive boats.:cool2:. overall it was a great day. Dad, me, & Lucky all caught a channel 5 lbs or over. i managed two 1 1/2 - 2 lbrs in the 1st spot we fished too. i would of had 2 at the second spot but Lucky intentionally jerked the hook out to let one of mine go. Tom seen it !!:smile2::smile2: i told him it was whisker hooked but he didnt hear me:sad2::smile2:. Tom and his son did good today also. i think Tom got the big fish out of us with his 7 lb 11 oz. channel. he just edged me out :smile2:. He gave us the fish he caught. THANK YOU TOM.

best part of my day was later this eve when i met up with a friend James Foley to catch bait for tonight. i had J Jr. with me and he was equiped with the rod he got at the gathering. we got into a school of gills that kept us busy. he would catch one so i would take it off, fix or replace bait, then put the gill in the bait basket only to have to return to J Jr. right after depositing the gill to get another he had caught. did that 15-20 times in a row !! it was AWESOME !! Jr. was havin a ball i tell ya. there were 3 other kids there. one boy was 6 ( still is too :smile2:), another is 12/13, and a girl 10/11 i think. one of em's mom said they been down there "all day" and aint caught nothin. well, after re riggin their rods i had em catchin gills for me too . they were purdy happy after that (and so was i :roll_eyes::smile2:) couple of the moms thanked me when we walked past the gathering which turned out to be Walker's birthday party. he even came down and caught one too. it definetly boosted their "fishin spirits", it was great.
oh yeah, didnt catch anything on the bait we caught either :embarassed::sad2::smile2:
