Red River at Moorhead

I just got off the phone with my guide in Moorhead who told me they are on the biggest fish he has seen in a long time. Very hot bite. Suckers on the current breaks is the answer. You can see one of the big ones on my BOC guides page.

Great news, I was up there last weekend, Sat morning I got a 6-9 Lb Channel cat on the river in South Moorehead. I was really impressed, only took about 10 mins. I was there for a couple hours and didn't get anything else. I was using a dead sucker about 4-5 inches long.

Fleet and Farm and Gander Mtn have pretty good fishing tackle displays. Although it was too late I got a cig lighter and battery operated aereator, will be using it this weekend fishing around Bemidji.

The bite in S Mn is not so good for me lately
