Kentucky Lake catfish in May

I will be going to Kentucky Lake May 18 for a few days of catfishing. I will be fishing roughly mid lake area. In the past we have fished in late June and July drifting for catfish in the channel. I would like to know when the catfish spawn and should I be fishing shallow with what baits? Some information when the different catfish species spawn would be helpful.

May and June are spawning months for the channel cats here. Try nightcrawlers, leeches,or cut bait along the rip-rap or rocky areas
