Amite River

Hey guys,

The Amite is gettin a good, steady flow now. I've been runnin line there the past couple weekends with my cousins. We've been loadin the box off them swift water spots. Good eatin size. Try em out soon.

I went to the Amite/Blind River this weekend. Loaded the boat with small blues. Caught most on my jingle lines. Also had a real nice fight in Maurepas at the river mouth. Caught a 30lb. blue.

Any one in the area fishing hoop nets? if so how are they doing? what type of fish. Large or small? Are they baiting them?

caught a few off blind river / dutch bayou saturday night. the bite was kinda slow on shirmp and cut bait so we switched to my secret home-made formula.
ended up catching 8 good eatin size.... there was a big one that popped my line before we could get it in the net...we were fishing at night so i didnt get a good look at the size....but catfishing with light-weight tackle is fun.
