My grandpa always said when the low temp.at night does not fall below 70 degrees for 5 straight nights we still go by that somtimes we go sooner but usally results in blue cat bit:cursing:

If you can spent 2 minutes or more in the water without a.) losing your breath or b) turning blue you can probably noodle. :)

Im thinking mid may. It might differ slightly if your north or south. I usually start finding channels in may. The flats where I am seem to be spawning a couple weeks after the channels for the most part anyway.
