Lowrance x96 transducer questions.

Hi,

I have a 15 ft aluminum boat that I completely rebuilt and am looking to add a depth finder for it. I have been doing some research and for my price range the Lowrance X96 seems to fit me best.

So now with the transducer question. I am not sure if I want to put the transducer on my trolling motor or mount it to the back of the boat or possibly even doing a thru-hull mount.

I would like to be able to use the depth finder while using the bigger motor but dont want to mess around with drilling holes and sealing them and possibly dealing with leaks...

How do you guys/girls have yours mounted on aluminum?

I believe they make a suction cup mount for this model.

It won't shoot thru the hull on aluminum thaqt works on fiberglass boats.Mount it on the transom that's the best spot.
