Unless somebody can convince me otherwise,,,come this Saturday I'm going to order a new Lowrance HDS-7, 6.4" 480x640 screen, 83/200 khz transducer, with Insite USA gps.
I have been torn between the H-Bird 798si and the HDS-7, but after a couple months of checking them out, I decided on the HDS. The money is about the same between them, but the Lowrance kicks the H-Birds ass on power and definition, screen size, and 3D hi-def gps. When Lowrance's side imaging add-on hits the market, I think I'll have a better unit overall.
If you are going to try to talk me out of it, you had better be real convincing.:wink:
