I know they do good on flats in the elkhorn.

I didn't even know that the Platte still have enough water in it to still hold any fish of any decent size. I quit fishing it about 10 years. Now I go to the Blue or the Loup. Someday I'd like to try the Niobrara but I don't even think it holds any cats.

?????????? not enough water to have any fish??? ill tell ya what ive caught 7 lb bass in 15" of water... and i understand the cats go way up in the shallows when ice is out to collect shad and have seen ppl catch cats in less then a foot of water.. its not the depth of the water or even the amount of water its the structure the ph and the food supply and the amount of fish in an area thats going to regulate the size of the fish in the area... a little creek 5' wide and 3' deep will hold one hell of a fish~!!!!
