lowrance shoot through-hull trans

anyone have a lowrance unit with a shoot through hull tansducer not sure weather i wanna get this for my jon boat or to run a regular tansducer out the back... can anyone give me any pros and cons about them?

I don't think you can use a shoot thru on an aluminum boat with standard shoot thru transducers. They are designed to shoot thru fiberglass boats. There is a company that makes an AlumaDucer for aluminum boats. I have never tried one, so I have no idea how well they work. But they claim it will shoot thru aluminum with zero signal loss.
