Mississippi river blues

Well I just spent the day on river between hannibal and Quincy, found some promising holes but once again no luck. I went to Ohio river and caught fish at every set we made, can't seem to figure anything out on Mississippi here tho. Anyone have consistant luck on big blue this far north?:confused:

They sure caught them yesterday around alton on the miss.

Yeah go figure.. they were hot around alton.. but i fished the chain o rocks all day and half the nite last night and didn't get one bite.:crying:

I spent 10 hours on the river south of St. Louis two days ago, and just plain got skunked. I tried deep, shallow, channels, wing dykes, revetments, you name it, I set up on it. Nothing. 2 small bites. Either I'm in a slump, or they got lock jaw. Water temp varied between 44 and 52 depending on location, and winds were 30-35 out of the Northwest. Probably wasnt the best of days to be catfishing.
