Alligator Hunting in SC

I hear that SC is having alligator hunts now. Can anyone give some information on who to get in touch with to go? What kind of system do they have? Permits/Lottery? I read in the Charlotte observer sometime back that a guy from Concord Nc went down last Sept and caught a 14footer?

Its by permit and the season ran for a few weeks. The permits were by lottery and cost $100 for this passed season. Not sure if they will have a season for 2009 but they may. You can find more information on the SCDNR website.
