Hello all: Does anyone use the ifinder explorer on the water, if so what do U think, I was tinking about trying one to see if they would show channels and creeks on a small lake I fish on??? good, bad,:confused2: or a waste of time and money:ooooh:

i have an ifinder expedition,same thing just in color i think.if you are wanting to use it to see channels and lake contours,you have to buy a navionics chip for your region.i use mine when i go in someone elses boat that does not have gps and i also use it for ice fishing.the batteries do die pretty quick so its a good idea to have a cigarette adapter in your boat.i use it also when we go mushroom hunting in the woods.

also you might have to check the navionics chip to see if the lake you fish mostly is on it.some smaller lakes are not covered
